This statement applies to the childhoodcancer.asn.au website only. The website is managed by the Childhood Cancer Association Inc.

Personal Information

childhoodcancer.asn.au will only collect personal information that is relevant to our business relationship with you and that you choose to give us.

We do not collect identifiable personal information about you if you only browse this website.

Uses

We only use your personal information for the purposes for which you gave it to us.

There is some personal information, for example your name, address, contact details, which is necessary for us to collect so that we can provide you with a specific product or service eg through our online shop and online donations. If you do not provide this personal information we may not be able to provide you with the product or service you have requested.

Stored personal information about you is protected from unauthorised access through the use of firewalls, secure passwords and sign in processes.

We do not share information about you with other organisations without your permission unless it is necessary to provide you with a service that you have requested, or is required or authorised by law.

childhoodcancer.asn.au uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. This analytical tool uses persistent cookies, which are small text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. The Childhood Cancer Association will not (and will not allow any third party) to use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analytics tool.

childhoodcancer.asn.au uses the Google Ads remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Childhood Cancer Association Inc. website - childhoodcancer.asn.au . Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ads Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.
