Cath
Cath O’Loughlin
Chief Executive

Cath was appointed the Chief Executive of the Childhood Cancer Association in 2009 and is also a long term board member of the Association. Cath has extensive senior management experience in both the public and private sector, including 15 years practising as a solicitor. Cath has a Bachelor of Law and an MBA. She is very passionate about supporting children with cancer, and their families.

Elliot
Elliot
Mascot

Elliot is the Childhood Cancer Association’s mascot. He befriends every child or adolescent diagnosed with cancer in South Australia and provides them with companionship and unconditional support throughout their treatment and beyond. Elliot is also a clinical helper, assisting children to communicate with medical staff as well as helping them understand medical procedures. As an avid writer, Elliot also loves responding to the many letters he receives from children sharing their feelings with him.

Anna
Anna Perry
Manager & Senior Counsellor (Clinical & Health Psychologist) - Family Service

Anna began working at the Childhood Cancer Association in 2010. She is a registered Clinical & Health Psychologist and Manager of the Family Service Team. Anna is responsible for delivering our key support services to families, which includes counselling, and managing the Family Service Team and volunteers. She also provides supervision to Psychology Registrars and Interns.

Anna has extensive experience working with children with cancer and their families. She utilizes evidence based techniques including but not limited to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to assist families with managing a cancer diagnosis in the family from the point of diagnosis. She has a strong background providing case management services and developing individualised early intervention programs for children with Autism and Developmental Delay, and their families. Anna also brings important previous experience as a research assistant and supervisor in the areas of cancer and grief and loss.

Anna is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). Anna is also a board approved supervisor through the Psychology Board of Australia. She is an Affiliate Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide and is a Member of the Master of Psychology (Health) Advisory Committee. Anna is a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Children’s Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG).

Chris
Chris Coelle
Senior Counsellor (Psychologist) – Family Service
BHons (Counselling Psych), MA (Social Anthropology), Dip. (Integrated Therapeutic Counselling), MAAPi

Chris began working at the Childhood Cancer Association in 2013 and is the Senior Counsellor (Psychologist). He is responsible for delivering counselling and support services to children with cancer and their families. Utilising evidence based practice, he assists families to manage the changes and processes they may face when a family member is diagnosed with cancer and also any resulting grief and loss issues.

Chris has extensive experience working with individuals with cancer and other physical health conditions, and their families, having previously worked in oncology and psychosomatic clinics overseas. He has a background in family and grief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence based methodologies, as well as training and experience in conflict resolution and effective communication. Chris has supervised volunteers in crisis regions and coordinated humanitarian research in South-East Asia.

Chris is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI) and is a board approved supervisor through the Psychology Board of Australia. Chris is a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Children’s Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG).

Stella
Stella Delloso
Counsellor (Health Psychologist) - Family Service

As a Counsellor (Health Psychologist) at the Childhood Cancer Association, Stella is responsible for delivering the range of services offered by the Family Service team providing both practical and psychological support for families throughout all stages of the childhood cancer experience.

Stella completed a Master of Health Psychology at the University of Adelaide. She is registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). Stella is a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Children’s Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG).

Throughout her career, Stella has maintained a strong focus on supporting families in their adjustment to chronic health issues. Stella joined the Family Service team in 2019. She also brings with her a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience gained whilst working as a Registered Nurse, including an in-depth understanding of the impact of chronic and acute health issues and their treatments, and insight into the experiences of families within the health care system.

Stella is passionate about using evidence based practice to work in partnership with families, supporting their adjustment to the changes and challenges that a diagnosis of childhood cancer may bring.

Anaïs Medwell
Case Manager - Family Service
DipCommServ (Case Management)

As the Family Service Case Manager, Anaïs is responsible for the management of our education programs, working with families to assist in accessing services and supporting our Family Service Team in the effective delivery of services to families.

Anaïs also manages our accommodation sites, the Michael Rice Units and Bradley’s Place.

Anaïs is passionate about helping others and is inspired by the generosity of people willing to make a difference in the lives of the families we support.


Fundraising, Events & Marketing
Bianca
Bianca Borrett
Marketing & Communications Manager

Bianca leads the marketing and communications efforts for the Childhood Cancer Association, managing the organisation’s brand and supporting its vital fundraising initiatives.

With over 20 years of experience across the not-for-profit, government, and membership sectors, Bianca brings expertise in tourism, event management, sponsorship, media relations, and strategic communications. She holds a Bachelor of Management from the University of South Australia.

Driven by a strong sense of community and a passion for children’s health and wellbeing, Bianca is proud to use her skills to help build awareness and make a meaningful difference for families facing childhood cancer.

Kathryn Bothe
Events Manager – Gold Ribbon Gala

As a member of the fundraising team, Kathryn is responsible for managing the Gold Ribbon Gala, our largest annual fundraising event.

Kathryn comes to the Childhood Cancer Association with a background in managing corporate events across a diverse range of industries, and is passionate about working with purpose-driven organisations.

Kathryn is working with us to make a difference in the community to support children with cancer, and their families.

Jessie Grossman
Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator

Jessie's role sees her working with schools and community fundraisers to develop events and activities to raise vital funds to support children with cancer, and their families.

Jessie comes to us with a background in hospitality and management. After studying a Certificate 4 in Youth Work, Jessie began working for not-for-profit organisations, teaching animal education and welfare to school students, and helping youth who are impacted by family mental illness.

Jessie has a strong passion for helping youth and their families. She will use this passion to inspire her work every day.

Justine Robertson
Fundraising Manager

Justine is responsible for leading the Childhood Cancer Association’s fundraising activities across regular giving, grants, trusts and foundations, bequests, and major donors.

She brings extensive experience in fundraising, partnerships, sponsorship, events, and stakeholder engagement, in both the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. Justine is passionate about creating strong relationships and delivering successful, high-impact fundraising campaigns.

Driven by a commitment to supporting children with cancer and their families, Justine plays a key role in ensuring the ongoing sustainability and growth of our vital services.

Louise
Louise Rodgers
Fundraising Administrator

Louise supports the administration of the Fundraising Team and is the friendly face at reception every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Initially working at the Childhood Cancer Association as a volunteer, Louise was then employed as our Event Coordinator and after a short hiatus has returned to the part-time role of Fundraising Administrator.

Before this, Louise was previously employed in the banking and finance industry and has also managed a family business.

Louise was born and raised in Adelaide and loves giving back to the SA community and families in need of our support.

Marketing Coordinator

As part of the Fundraising and Marketing team, Kim is responsible for assisting with digital marketing and communication activities.

Kim has over 20 years in creative roles including 8 years in digital marketing for small business and community initiatives.

She is committed to making a difference in the local community and as a mother of two young boys feels passionately about the health and wellbeing of children.
