Meet Brendon Hore

In his own words, one of our incredibly generous Childhood Champions, Brendon, kindly shares why he chooses to support the Childhood Cancer Association (CCA), both as a Childhood Champion with monthly donations, and by choosing to leave a Gift in his Will.

“Supporting the CCA is a cause close to my heart, primarily due to the indispensable support they offer to families navigating the incredibly challenging journey of childhood cancer.

I started my ongoing contributions in March 2021 after learning about the profound impact CCA has on enhancing the quality of life for these families.

Their dedication to providing critical, hands-on support resonates with me deeply, and opting for monthly donations was a straightforward decision, allowing me to integrate giving into my budget seamlessly and knowing it ensures consistent support for CCA.

This regular contribution, though modest monthly, accumulates into substantial support over time, enabling CCA to plan and execute their valuable programs reliably.

Deciding to leave a legacy gift in my Will to CCA was motivated by the desire to make a lasting impact. Doing so will provide a significant contribution that might be more challenging to give during my lifetime. This form of giving ensures my support for the association continues beyond my lifetime, without seeking any accolades for these actions, reflecting my genuine commitment to their cause.

To anyone considering support for CCA, I would say: embrace the opportunity to give. Whether you choose a cause like CCA or another that speaks to you, the act of giving is profoundly rewarding. Consider regular donations—these ensure continuous support and are manageable within your financial planning. Each contribution, no matter the size, adds up to significant aid over time, offering more than just financial help—it offers hope and stability to those in dire need.”
