The Telstra Enterprise team from SA & NT made a huge commitment to raise $50,000 for the Childhood Cancer Association in 2020.
COVID meant that plans to hold a Quiz Night and run in the annual City-Bay Fun Run were off the table, at least in the traditional sense. The Committee had to adapt their plans to keep their promise.
This resulted in an incredibly fun night at Telstra house at their virtual quiz night, crossing fingers that the technology would hold up (which it did) and that teams at home enjoyed themselves (which they did). It also formed a great working relationship between the Telstra team and the Childhood Cancer Association as, together, we worked through the logistical challenges of an event like this.
Following on from such a successful Quiz night would always be a hard task but once again with persistence the Committee created a virtual step challenge, with teams of four racing to Melbourne and back. Along the way, competing for prizes and raising money for children with cancer. There were great incentives for fundraisers to go that extra mile and raise as much as they could.
