Watch Thomas’s Story
Watch this 5 minute film where Chris Hartley talks through his family’s journey after his son’s diagnosis of a brain tumour and the support he received from the Childhood Cancer Association.
It was an absolute honour to host the Gold Ribbon Gala for our 40th anniversary and welcome a sold-out room of more than 760 guests to the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday, 3 September 2022.
The event raised a phenomenal $429,522 to help local children with cancer, and their families.
Given we do not receive ongoing Government funding, we are 100% reliant on donations and support from the community to raise sufficient funds to deliver our services.
From listening to guest speakers, entering the car or jewellery raffle, buying a mystery bottle of wine, bidding in the live auction or trying their luck in our silent auction, guests had plenty of opportunities to give.
Emceed by Childhood Cancer ambassadors Jarrod Walsh and Hayley Pearson, guests were also entertained by the talented Mr Buzzy who brought an exciting performance, with their dynamic stage presence and fantastic four part harmonies.
With thanks to the generosity of our guests, partners, supporters, donors and volunteers, the Childhood Cancer Association can continue to have a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of families impacted by childhood cancer.
Thank you to everyone who made this event an outstanding success. View the photo album.
