Anna began working at the Childhood Cancer Association in 2010. She is a registered Clinical & Health Psychologist and Manager of the Family Service Team. Anna is responsible for delivering our key support services to families, which includes counselling, and managing the Family Service Team and volunteers. She also provides supervision to Psychology Registrars and Interns.
Anna has extensive experience working with children with cancer and their families. She utilizes evidence based techniques including but not limited to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to assist families with managing a cancer diagnosis in the family from the point of diagnosis. She has a strong background providing case management services and developing individualised early intervention programs for children with Autism and Developmental Delay, and their families. Anna also brings important previous experience as a research assistant and supervisor in the areas of cancer and grief and loss.
Anna is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). Anna is also a board approved supervisor through the Psychology Board of Australia. She is an Affiliate Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide and is a Member of the Master of Psychology (Health) Advisory Committee. Anna is a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Children’s Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG).
Chris began working at the Childhood Cancer Association in 2013 and is the Senior Counsellor (Psychologist). He is responsible for delivering counselling and support services to children with cancer and their families. Utilising evidence based practice, he assists families to manage the changes and processes they may face when a family member is diagnosed with cancer and also any resulting grief and loss issues.
Chris has extensive experience working with individuals with cancer and other physical health conditions, and their families, having previously worked in oncology and psychosomatic clinics overseas. He has a background in family and grief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence based methodologies, as well as training and experience in conflict resolution and effective communication. Chris has supervised volunteers in crisis regions and coordinated humanitarian research in South-East Asia.

As a Counsellor (Health Psychologist) at the Childhood Cancer Association, Stella is responsible for delivering the range of services offered by the Family Service team providing both practical and psychological support for families throughout all stages of the childhood cancer experience.
Stella completed a Master of Health Psychology at the University of Adelaide. She is registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). Stella is a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Children’s Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG).
Throughout her career, Stella has maintained a strong focus on supporting families in their adjustment to chronic health issues. Stella joined the Family Service team in 2019. She also brings with her a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience gained whilst working as a Registered Nurse, including an in-depth understanding of the impact of chronic and acute health issues and their treatments, and insight into the experiences of families within the health care system.
Stella is passionate about using evidence based practice to work in partnership with families, supporting their adjustment to the changes and challenges that a diagnosis of childhood cancer may bring.

As the Family Service Case Manager, Anaïs is responsible for the management of our education programs, working with families to assist in accessing services and supporting our Family Service Team in the effective delivery of services to families.
Anaïs also manages our accommodation sites, the Michael Rice Units and Bradley’s Place.
Anaïs is passionate about helping others and is inspired by the generosity of people willing to make a difference in the lives of the families we support.
