City-Bay fundraisers exceed target

Each year we have many families, walkers and runners join 'Team Elliot' to run or walk the Sunday Mail City-Bay Fun Run while raising vital funds for the Childhood Cancer Association.

2017 was no exception, as our fundraisers showed their support for International Cancer Awareness Month by wearing a yellow or gold accessory to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

On the day, Elliot greeted fundraisers at the Childhood Cancer Association finish line marquee for much-needed refreshments.

With thanks to our amazing fundraisers we exceeded our target of $20,000 by raising more than $21,750!

Thank you to all the participants and the family and friends who support them so generously each year. This money will go towards funding the 30 vital support services that the Childhood Cancer Association provides to children with cancer and their families.

Just for the record, 'Team Elliot' placed fourth on the overall team leaderboard and 'Team Chantelle Alvaro' came in 13th - an awesome result. Plus a special shout out to Pam, our top individual fundraiser, finishing 9th on the individual leaderboard by raising almost $5,000!
