On Saturday 9 August 2025, guests stepped into the Gold Ribbon Gala Masquerade Ball in their finest attire - and walked out having changed lives.
Guests were bidding in the live or silent auctions, buying raffle tickets, hitting the dance floor with DJ Joyfool, and simply soaking up the atmosphere, but they were part of something truly powerful – a gathering determined to make a lasting difference for children with cancer, and their families.
Together guests raised $256,144 – funds that will directly provide critical care services, free of charge, to more than 450 local families.
This generosity will help launch our new Exercise Program, empowering children to rebuild their strength and energy after treatment. Combined with our recently launched Nutritional Support Program, this initiative forms a vital part of our long-term commitment to helping families thrive.
It’s about more than the cancer treatment itself – it’s about giving children, parents, siblings and extended family members the tools and holistic care to help them feel connected, supported and confident beyond hospital walls.
During the evening, guests were deeply moved by the families’ stories — a powerful reminder of exactly why we do what we do.
As a small team without ongoing Government funding, we could never have achieved this without the generosity of our guests, sponsors, partners, auction donors and bidders, volunteers, and of course our incredible Gold Ribbon Gala Board.
To everyone who was part of the Gold Ribbon Gala, thank you for helping create an enchanting evening with an extraordinary impact. We can’t wait for you to share in next year’s unforgettable celebration under the gold ribbon.
