Relocation Accommodation

Country or interstate families who are required to relocate to Adelaide for their child’s cancer treatment at the Women's and Children's Hospital or another South Australian based hospital.

Accommodation in the Michael Rice Units is free for families referred to the Childhood Cancer Association and includes the cost of all utilities.

Each unit is fully self-contained and comprises two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and dining area, bathroom and laundry. One bedroom has a queen size bed and one bedroom has a bunk bed and trundle. All bed linen and towels are provided.

• Washing machine and dryer
• TVs, PlayStation, bluetooth speaker
• Private outdoor space
• Communal undercover BBQ and playground areas
• Onsite car parking
• Free internet access

The Units are located in the suburb of Prospect approximately 4km from the Women's and Children's Hospital, with many shops and parks nearby.

If you need to relocate due to childhood cancer treatment and are interested in finding out more about the Michael Rice Units, please speak with your hospital social worker. All requests for relocation accommodation must be made via your family’s hospital social worker.
