Parent/Caregiver Morning Tea
All parents/caregivers are invited to attend a morning tea for oncology families of the Michael Rice Centre. The fortnightly morning tea is a collaboration between the Childhood Cancer Association and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and is facilitated by the Family Service Team.
Who can attend the parent/caregiver morning tea?
All oncology parents/caregivers on the Michael Rice Centre ward and clinic can attend the morning tea.
About the service
The morning tea has been developed collaboratively to address the needs of parents/caregivers staying on the Michael Rice Centre ward or visiting the clinic. The morning tea offers parents/caregivers an opportunity to take a break, meet other parents/caregivers and gain support in an understanding environment.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
When and where is the morning tea held?
When: Fortnightly, on alternate Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11am-12pm
Where: The Adolescent Room on the Michael Rice Centre ward at the Women's and Children's Hospital.

How to access the service
Parents/caregivers can simply attend the morning tea, no RSVPs are necessary.
