Adelaide United Stars as Childhood Cancer ambassadors

AUFC Ambassador Announcement 800x550

Wednesday 27 Apr, 2022

Adelaide United's Joe Gauci and Matilda McNamara join the Childhood Cancer Association as our newest ambassadors to show their support for local families battling childhood cancer.

After a stint with Melbourne City, Joe Gauci returned to his hometown of Adelaide as goalkeeper for the Adelaide United Football Club's A-League and has been with the Club since 2020. His excellent form and consistency even saw him receive a maiden call-up to be part of a Socceroos training camp.

Matilda McNamara is one of the brightest young W-League prospects in the Adelaide United Football Club. Having been born in Adelaide, she spent some of her formative years living in the United States where she developed a keen interest in football. She is now an integral cog in the Reds' defensive structure.

We look forward to working not only with both Joe and Matilda, but also the whole Adelaide United Football Club and its fans with a Game Day on 30 April 2022 to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the children with cancer.
