Thanks to the generosity shown at the Gold Ribbon Gala on 2 September 2023, the event, now in its third year, raised an amazing $418,551.

It was our aim to raise a total of $1 million since the Gold Ribbon Gala began in 2021 and we were blown away when it was announced that we had exceeded our target and raised $1,230,386!

Emceed by Childhood Cancer ambassadors Jarrod Walsh and Hayley Pearson, guests were also entertained by The Cast and their 7-piece band who brought a dynamic stage performance and wowed guests with their amazing vocals.

On the night, we heard from our Ambassador Emily Riggs as well as two young children, Izzy and Evan, who shared their very personal childhood cancer stories and the challenges they faced. These are just three of the 400 families we support every year.

As well as listening to guest speakers, guests had plenty of opportunities to give by entering the car or diamond raffle, buying a mystery bottle of wine, bidding in the live auction or trying their luck in our silent auction.

Given we do not receive Government funding, we are 100% reliant on donations and support from the community to raise sufficient funds to deliver our services.

With thanks to the generosity of our guests, partners, supporters, donors and volunteers, the money raised will have a huge impact as we look to expand our support to even more families who will be coming to South Australia for proton therapy treatment.
